This condition exposed employees to eye and skin hazards from contact with corrosive chemicals.

29 CFR 1917.152(c)(3): Fire extinguishing equipment suitable for the location was not immediately available or maintained in readiness for use at all times during the performance of hot work: Maintenance Shop: On or about December 19, 2012 and at times prior thereto, where hotwork was conducted with flammable and combustible materials within 10 feet of the heat source, fire extinguishers showed they were last inspected and maintained in "December 2007." This condition exposed employees to fire and smoke inhalation hazards from not being able to readily extinguish incipient fires.

29 CFR 1917.24(b): Tests were not made to determine carbon monoxide concentration to ensure that employee exposure did not exceed the limits specified in 29 CFR 1917.24(a): Shop: On or about December 29, 2012 and at times prior thereto, propane-powered forklift trucks were allowed to idle outside the shop area. Shop area carbon monoxide (CO) air concentration was allowed to rise to 35 part per million (ppm). This condition exposed employees to inhalation hazards.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(2)(iii): The employer did not provide information to the employees as to the location and availability of the written hazard communication program, and material safety data sheets required by 29 CFR 1910.1200: Tool Can: On or about December 19, 2012 and at times prior thereto, when employees were questioned as to the location of material safety data sheets for hazardous chemicals in the workplace including MAPP gas and various petroleum, oils and lubricants, they did not know. This condition limited the amount of information they had to safely use the hazardous chemicals in there workplace.
