29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a. On or about Feb 6, 2013, at the maintenance trailer and fuel dispensing areas, Sunbay Marina, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials such as diesel and gasoline, and other fluids and oils used and/or handled. Suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not available within the work area for immediate emergency use. NOTE: Certification of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by 29 CFR 1903.19(c).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: a. On or about 02/06/13, at Sunbay Marina facilities, San Juan, PR. The employer did not develop a written hazard communication program to ensure having material safety data sheets for gasoline, diesel, oils, fluids and other chemicals during regular marinas related operations. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item since it was submitted prior to citation issuance.
