29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) On or about February 21, 2013 at the Carey, Ohio location, the employer did not assure that Press #6, manufactured by Williams-White was properly guarded. Employees are exposed to crushing injuries when performing work due to the lack of guarding on each side of the die. ABATEMENT NOTE: Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to ensure all hydraulic presses are guarded in accordance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B11.2-2013 Safety Requirements for Hydraulic and Pneumatic Power Presses and American National Standard Institute (ANSI) B11.19 - 2010 "Performance Criteria for Safeguarding"
