29 CFR 1910.219(e)(1)(i): Horizontal belts which had both runs 42 inches or less from the floor level were not fully enclosed by guards conforming to requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.219(m) and (o):  a) Facility, 204B Schreiber Industrial Park, New Kensington, PA:  On or about March 14, 2013, an employee was operating the US Bottler Filler machine and was not protected from the timing belt on the drive motor due to an opening on the base of the filler machine.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:     a) Facility, 204B Schreiber Industrial Park, New Kensington, PA:  On or about March 14, 2013, an employee was exposed to amputation hazards while operating the Fowler/Zalken Tangenial capping machine, Model F/Z 730. The equipment did not have guarding installed to protect employees from its rotating parts, such as, but not limited to the worm drive, rotating cap dispenser wheel, exit feed wheels, and the rotating capping head.   The employer, Castle Co-Packers, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number  312635691, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on March 3, 2010, with respect to a workplace located at 204B Schreiber Industrial Park, New Kensington, PA  15068.

29 CFR 1910.22(b)(1): Aisles and passageways were not kept clear and in good repair, with no obstruction across or in aisles that could create a hazard:  a) Facility, 204B Schreiber Industrial Park, New Kensington, PA:  On or abour March 14, 2013, employees were exposed to potential hazards while operating forklifts on wooden floors that had depressions, were uneven, and had holes that could cause the equipment to get stuck.
