29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about March 26, 2013, and at times prior, employees engaged in framing activities were exposed to falls from unprotected exterior edges of the building approximately 30 feet above ground level while trimming and installing sub-flooring of a new commercial construction building to become Hampton Inn & Suites located at 2020 Schafer Street in Bismarck, North Dakota.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: (a) On or about March 26, 2013, and at times prior, employees engaged in framing activities were exposed to falls from unprotected exterior edges of the building approximately 30 feet above ground level without fall protection systems in place while trimming and installing sub-flooring of a new commercial construction building to become Hampton Inn & Suites located at 2020 Schafer Street in Bismarck, North Dakota.
