29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about May 21, 2014, and at times prior, employees were exposed to a 35-foot fall hazard while building a parapet wall and installing flooring material next to an unprotected edge in the vicinity of the Comfort Inn at 1516 27th Street NW in Mandan, North Dakota. Note: This company was previously cited for violations of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard which were contained in OSHA Inspection Number 899535, Citation 1, Item 1A, which was affirmed as a final order on 5/16/2013 with respect to a workplace located at Hampton Inn & Suites, 2020 Schafer Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, 58503 and in OSHA Inspection Number 950381, Citation 1, Item 1, which was affirmed as a final order on 2/12/2014 with respect to a workplace located at Sunset Drive and 27th Street NW, Mandan, North Dakota, 58554.
