29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about May 1, 2013, on the worksite at or near Harkrider & Siebenmorgen, Conway, Arkansas, employees installing metal roofing on a steep sloped roof were not protected from falling. Specifically, employees had to disconnect from their anchor points in order to remove the anchors and reposition themselves on the roof. During the time the employees were not attached to the anchor points they were exposed to the hazard of falling in excess of 13 feet to the concrete surface below.
