29 CFR 1910.95(b)(1): When employees were subjected to sound exceeding those listed in Table G-16,  personal protective equipment was not used to reduce sound levels within the levels of the table.  a) On or about June 27, 2013, the employer failed to require the use of personal protective equipment to control employee's exposure to occupational noise. An employee operating press #7 was overexposed to noise at an 8 hour time weighted average of 92.9 dBA. The OSHA permissible exposure limit is 90 dBA. The employer provides hearing protection to employees to use as a voluntary basis, but is not required by the employer.
