29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. New residential construction located at 9209 European Olive in Riverview, FL: a) On or about 06/26/13, 3 employees including the supervisor standing on the edge of the roof while installing roof trusses were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet in that fall protection such as harnesses were available but not worn by employees working on the roof. b) On or about 6/26/13, an employee assisting on the installation of a roof truss while standing on the frame of a wall opening was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet in that no fall protection was being used. Burgos Construction Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926 501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 903877, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/11/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 9222 Mountain Magnolia, Riverview FL 33569.
