29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1)(ii): The employer did not provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use PPE on knowing what PPE is necessary. Employee had not received the necessary training to understand the proper eyewear to protect against splashing/foaming corrosive chemical cleaner. May 4, 2013: An employee received an injury from a cleaning chemical spraying into his eyes while wearing standard safety glasses, rather than goggles and/or face shield.
