29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there is a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, shall be protected by protective helmets.    (a)  Base of Scaffold - On or about September 3, 2013 two employees were exposed to head injuries while working beneath the scaffold without wearing hardhats. Four employees were working on the scaffold handling bricks and mortar above the ground level employees. Scaffold employeew were working 15.6 feet above the ground level employees.          Bobby Brown, DBA Brown Masonry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.100(a) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 866264, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2A and was affirmed as a final order on April 15, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 286 Bellamy Court in Flowood, MS.

(a)  Front of House - On or about September 3, 2013 four employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working on a scaffold that had no bases plates installed.       Bobby Brown, DBA Brown Masonry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 866264, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on April 15, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 286 Bellamy Court in Flowood, MS.

29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers.   Note to paragraph (g)(1): The fall protection requirements for employees installing suspension scaffold support systems on floors, roofs, and other elevated surfaces are set forth in subpart M of this part.     (a)    Scaffold, Right Side - On or about September 3 2013 three employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working on a welded metal frame scaffold 13 feet above ground with no guardrail system or personal fall arrest system.             (b)   Scaffold, Left Side - On or about September 3, 2013 one employee was exposed to a fall hazard while working on a welded metal frame scaffold 15.6 feet above ground with no guardrail system or personal fall arrest system.         Bobby Brown, DBA Brown Masonry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 866264, Citation Number 1, Item Number 4 and was affirmed as a final order on April 15, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 286 Bellamy Court in Flowood, MS.

29 CFR 1926.452(c)(2): Frames and panels shall be braced by cross, horizontal, or diagonal braces, or combination thereof, which secure vertical members together laterally. The cross braces shall be of such length as will automatically square and align vertical members so that the erected scaffold is always plumb, level, and square. All brace connections shall be secured.    (a)  Front of House - On or about September 3, 2013 four employees were exposed to a fall hazard while working on a scaffold that had no cross-braces installed on the outiside face.       Bobby Brown, DBA Brown Masonry was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2) which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 866264, Citation Number 1, Item Number 2b and was affirmed as a final order on April 15, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 286 Bellamy Court in Flowood, MS.
