29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) 359 Haydenville Rd Leeds, MA: On or about December 2, 2013, several employees were working on the top deck of this structure being constructed more than 23 FT above the ground below without any fall protection,additionally, an employee was climbing through the roof trusses more than 8 FT above the floor below without any fall protection, neither of which is in accordance with this subpart: Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1): Sage Engineering and Contracting, Inc was previously cited for a repeat violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926 501 (b) 1, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 313203580 citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on December 7, 2010, with respect to a workplace located on Riverdale Rd West Springfield, MA.
