29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladders length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) At 1523 Marie Loop Auburn, Alabama: On or about January 7, 2014 and at times prior; the employer failed to ensure a portable extension ladder used on site by employees was extended at least three feet above the landing area exposing them to fall hazards of 10.3 feet to the ground below. THE SOL CONSTRUCTION, INC WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.1053(B)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 903826, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JULY 10, 2013, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT LOT 88 EAST LAKE SUBDIVISION AUBURN, ALABAMA 36830.
