Employees were required to operate the sit-down forklift on a daily basis hauling material back and forth from the shop area. Employees were not required to perform daily inspection of the lift before placing it in service to detect any deficiencies/defects of the lift, on or about 03/05/14.

The aisleways and passageways were not marked to indicate pedestrian walkway and mechanical equipment aisleways, on or about 03/05/14. Truss Components of Atlanta, Inc.. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.22(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 961277, citation number 1, item number 3b and was affirmed as a final order on December 9, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2445 Old Covington Hwy. SW, Conyers, Georgia.

29 CFR 1910.213(a)(9): All belts, pulleys, gears, shafts, and moving parts shall be guarded in accordance with the specific requirements of 1910.219: a. 2445 Old Covington Hwy. SW, Conyers, GA (Dock Area of the main production facility) - Employees are exposed to an amputation hazard. Employees were using the circular web saw blade to make various cuts in the 2x4 and plywood in the manufacturing of wood trusses. The circular web saw was not equipped with a guard to prevent employees hands from coming in contact with the rotating blade, on or about 03/05/14. Truss Components of Atlanta, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.213(a)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 961277, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on December 9, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2445 Old Covington Hwy. SW, Conyers, Georgia.
