29 CFR 1926.50(g): Where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body shall be provided within the work area for immediate emergency use. a. At the east side of the parking garage where employees mixed bags of mortar, suitable eye wash facilities were not available, thereby exposing the employees to a contact hazard. b. On the third floor of the parking garage where employees applied mortar to block, eye wash facilities were not available, thereby exposing the employees to a contact hazard.

29 CFR 1926.51(f)(1): The employer shall provide adequate washing facilities for employees engaged in the application of paints, coating, herbicides, or insecticides, or in other operations where contaminants may be harmful to the employees. Such facilities shall be in near proximity to the worksite and shall be so equipped as to enable employees to remove such substances. a. At the worksite where employees worked with masonry mix containing Portland cement, there was no PH-neutral soap, clean water, or towels, thereby exposing employees to a contact hazard.

29 CFR 1926.300(b)(1): When power operated tools are designed to accommodate guards, they shall be equipped with such guards when in use. a. On the east side of the parking garage where employees mixed mortar in a mortar mixer, the guard over the top of the mixer was missing while the mixer was in operation, thereby exposing the employees to a caught-in hazard. VIBO Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.300(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 461813, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 15, 2102, with respect to a workplace located at 5215 Avery Road, Dublin Ohio 43016.
