29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): Machine guarding was not provided to protect operator(s) and other employees from hazards created by in-going nip points, rotating parts, and/or flying chips and sparks:    1) Maintenance Department - Employees were using a Dayton 15' drill Press (model number 4YG14A) that was not equipped with a guard, exposing employees to a serious laceration hazard from rotating bit and chuck.    The Tip Top Poultry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 616778, citation number 01, item number 002 and was affirmed as a final order on January 28, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 479 Nathan Dean Bypass, Rockmart, GA 30153.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a suface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source:  1) Engine Room 1 - The exit sign on the door was not illuminated in case of a fire the employees could not quickly identify the emergency exit.     2) Cryovac Department - The exit sign on the door was not illuminated in case of a fire the employees could not quickly identify the emergency exit.

29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2): Each exit was not clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "Exit":  1) Maintenance Department - The employer did not ensure that all exit doors were equipped with a sign identifying exit in the event of emergency; employees could not quickly identify the emergency exit.       2) Near Maintenance Department - The employer did not ensure that all exit doors were equipped with a sign identifying exit in the event of emergency; employees could not quickly identify the emergency exit.

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iv): Employee training did not include the details of the hazardous communication program developed by the employer, including an explanation of labels received on shipped containers and the work place labeling system used by their employer, and the safety data sheet, including the order of information and how the employees can obtain and use the appropriate hazard information:    1) Production Area - The employer did not provide training to employees on the new hazard communication standard Global Harmonized System (GHS) that took effective December 1, 2013. Employees were not familiar with the new hazard communication standard.  Employees are using hazardous chemicals such as but limited to ammonia, sodium hypochlorite, AFCO 8527 and AFCO 527.
