29 CFR 1917.48(j)(3): Conveyors were operated without all overload devices, guards, and safety devices in place and operable. (a) The rotating shaft at the end of the ice auger for the ice spout was unguarded exposing employees to rotating hazards of the protruding shaft. (b) The rotating shaft at the end of the ice house auger was unguarded exposing employees to rotating hazards of the protruding shaft. Bornstein Seafoods Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910. 1917.48(j)(3), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 190602, Citation Number 1, Item Number 1 , and was affirmed as a final order on 04/18/2012 with respect to a work place located at, Astoria, OR 97103 Note: Abatement certification and supporting documentation are required for these items.
