29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Location: Aluminum line shop: a. Employee 1 engaged in the assembly of aluminum boat trailers in the station 9 was exposed to continuous noise levels at 115.5% (equivalent to a TWA of 91.0 dBA) of the Action level (8-hour time weighted average sound level of 85 dBA) during a 458 minute sampling period on November 13th, 2014; Exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 22 minutes not sampled. b. Employee 2 engaged in the assembly of aluminum boat trailers in the station 2 was exposed to continuous noise levels at 70.6% (equivalent to a TWA of 87.5 dBA) of the Action level (8-hour time weighted average sound level of 85 dBA) during a 480 minute sampling period on November 13th, 2014. c. Employee 3 engaged in the assembly of aluminum boat trailers in the station 10 was exposed to continuous noise levels at 68.1% (equivalent to a TWA of 87.2 dBA) of the Action level (8-hour time weighted average sound level of 85 dBA) during a 432 minute sampling period on November 13th, 2014; Exposure calculations included a zero increment for the 48 minutes not sampled.
