29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. a) 146 Preservation Blvd., Chesterfield, NJ: On or about 10/21/2014 five employees of Constructec Corporation were observed sheathing the second story floor decking of a multi-story new construction residence. The workers were observed walking the floor joists and exterior wall top plates without any form of fall protection and were thus exposed to a fall hazard of greater than 13 feet. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
