29 CFR 1910.132(f)(3): When the employer has reason to believe that any affected employee who has already been trained does not have the understanding and skill required by paragraph (f)(2) of this section, the employer shall retrain each such employee: a) On or about November 25, 2014, the employer did not maintain the fire retardant green jacket an employee wears while loading and unloading the furnace. The jacket had several holes. Fire retardant clothing is used to protect against burns in the event of a fire and/or explosion related to the furnace. b) On or about November 25, 2014, the employer did not maintain the aluminized apron employees wear while loading and unloading the furnace. The apron had holes. Clothing is used to protect against burns in the event of a fire and/or explosion related to the furnace.
