29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about December 18, 2014, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing residential roofing operations on a steep sloped roof (6:12) approximately ten (10) feet eight (8) inches above the ground, was not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards. The Timberline General Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 452693, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 28, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Heather Glen, Lot 205, Scots Glen Drive, New Lenox, IL 60451.
