On or about February 18, 2015, an employee performing framing activities on a restaurant was working at the ground level below other employees and was not wearing a hard hat exposing the employee to struck-by hazards from flying or falling objects.

On or about February 18, 2015, the employer failed to protect employees from unprotected rebar exposing them to caught-on and impalement hazards: a) Employees working from the roof edges were exposed to falling onto the unprotected rebar below, and b) Employees working around the unprotected rebar from the ground.

Puckett Construction Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 329508, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on June 29, 2012 with a final abatement date of June 7, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 4809 W Hwy 290 Austin, TX 78735.

On or about February 18, 2015, employees were performing roofing activities on the roof of a new restaurant without fall protection. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 26 feet to the ground below. Puckett Construction Co. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 329508, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on June 29, 2012 with a final abatement date of June 7, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at 4809 W Hwy 290 Austin, TX 78735.
