29 CFR 1910.307(c): Electrical equipment in hazardous (classified) locations was not intrinsically safe, approved for the hazardous (classified) location, or safe for the hazardous (classified) location: (a) Sanding Area: An employee operates a Mirka 912, 30 gallon capacity vacuum with an electric sander attachment to collect combustible wood dust while sanding wood products. The 120 volt motor on the vacuum was not approved for a Class II, Division 1 location, intrinsically safe or safe for a Class II, Division 1 location, as determined on March 31, 2015. Abatement Certification Required for this Item.
