Several of these exposed employees had not received any fall protection training from the company at the time of the worksite inspection. Condition noted on or about 04/28/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee using ladders and stairways, as necessary, which would train each employee in the procedures to be followed to minimize hazards related to ladders and stairways: a- East Side Of Site, 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick NJ: Employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 19 feet to the ground surface below when utilizing an aluminum extension ladder (to access and egress the roof of a residential structure) that contained visibly damaged rungs. Two of the four employees using this ladder had not received any ladder hazard identification training from the company. Condition noted on or about 04/28/15. b- West Side Of Site, 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick NJ: Employees were exposed to fall hazards in excess of 19 feet to the ground surface below when utilizing an aluminum extension ladder (to access and egress the roof of a residential structure) that contained visibly bent side rails of the ladder's fly section. The employees using this ladder had not received any ladder hazard identification training from the company. Condition noted on or about 04/28/15. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.
