29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a. 425 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ - Heritage at Colonia Development - Building 5 Employees engaged in the residential roofing activities of multi-family homes were observed working from the top of the first story porch at heights greater than 12 feet and were not protected from falls by use of a safety net system, guard rail system, or a personal fall arrest system. Violation observed on or about July 1, 2016 Perfection Roofing and Siding, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1059881, citation number 1, item number 2/a, and was affirmed as a final order on August 7, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. 425 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ - Heritage at Colonia Development - Building 5 Employees engaged in residential roofing activities used a Werner extension ladder as access to the porch roof that did not extend at least three feet above the landing surface. Violation observed on or about July 1, 2016 Perfection Roofing and Siding, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1059881, citation number 1, item number 3/a, and was affirmed as a final order on August 7, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 217 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ 08723.
