29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who was on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems On or about August 29, 2015, on the upper level of a building where an employee was exposed to fall hazards of more than 15 feet above a lower level when performing steel erection activities without a fall protection system. Ellison Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1007894, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/12/2015 with respect to a workplace located at Katy Ranch Rd., Bldg. B1, Katy, TX, 77493.
