29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems.    On February 23, 2016, and times prior there to, employees conducting steel erection activities on a metal roof of a commercial building under construction, were not protected from falling more than 15 feet to the ground below.      Ellison Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1007894, citation number 1 item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/12/2015, with respect to a workplace located at Katy Ranch Rd., Bldg. B1, Katy, TX, 77493.     The Ellison Steel, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1089807, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/19/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 1420 N. Loop, 336 W., #106, Conroe, TX, 77304.
