On or about March 2, 2016, at the above addressed job site, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet while exposed to unguarded holes in the roof sheathing while performing roofing repairs, without means of conventional fall protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems or conventional fall protection systems: On or about March 2, 2016, at the above addressed job site, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 18 feet while installing roofing materials from a roof without means of conventional fall protection. The PAYTON ROOFING, INC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1093418, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 28, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 13296 NW 5th St. Plantation, FL 33325. To abate this hazard Payton Roofing, Inc. must provide fall protection to employees engaged in residential construction and exposed to a fall hazard of six feet or more while conducting residential construction. Date by which violation must be abated: Immediately upon receipt of the Citation and Notification of Penalty. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, Payton Roofing, Inc. must submit documents describing the measures it is taking to ensure compliance with fall protection to eliminate employee exposure to hazardous condition.
