29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE):  a) On 3/14/16, at the shop on 212 Redwood Lane in Manheim, PA, the employer did not certify that a hazard assessment had been performed for employees working with, and exposed to hazardous chemicals used in polishing and cleaning automobiles, and requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as goggles, skin protection or safety glasses.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:  a) Shop at 212 Redwood Lane in Manheim, PA - On or about March 14, 2016, the employer did not ensure that the florescent light fixtures in use in the wash bay were wired in accordance with the listing and labeling instructions. Non-metallic sheathed cable was spliced with flexible cord to complete the wiring circuit. This open air splice exposes employees to electrical shock hazards.  b) Shop at 212 Redwood Lane in Manheim, PA - On or about July 27, 2017, the employer did not ensure a flexible electric cord mated with a "handy" box was wired in accordance with the listing and labeling instructions.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date, and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1): Sufficient access and working space was not provided and maintained about all electric equipment (operating at 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground) to permit ready and safe operation and maintenance of such equipment:  a) Shop at 212 Redwood Lane in Manheim, PA - The employer did not ensure that the space in front of the main electrical panels located in the break area adjacent to the office permitted ready and safe access to the panel, in that access to the panels was hindered by cardboard boxes and extraneous material, thereby exposing employees to possible injuries, on or about March 14, 2016.
