29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which was incorporated by reference as specified in 29 CFR 1910.6: (a) Maintenance Yard, employees were exposed to explosion hazards by not firmly securing compressed Nitrogen cylinder to prevent falling or being knocked over.

29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: (a) Maintenance Yard, employees were exposed to injuries to eyes while working on and around corrosive battery acid and the emergency drenching system was blocked by material and was not readily available. (b) Battery Room, employees were exposed to injuries to eyes while working on and around corrosive battery acid and the emergency drenching system was blocked by material and was not readily available. THE U.S. AIR FORCE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 967340, CITATION 03, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 14, 2014, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT BUILDING 803, TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, CALIFORNIA 94535.
