29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  (a) Fire Engine Bay: Employees were exposed to caught in hazards while working on the Wilton Twenty-Inch Drill Press with an unguarded chuck.  THE U. S. DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION 1085587, CITATION 01, ITEM 003 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON OCTOBER 23, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, PARTNERS POINT, LAKE HAVASU, ARIZONA 86406.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. and then only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment:     (a) Fire Engine Bay: Employees were exposed to flying parts and pieces and air embolisms while using air nozzles with approximately 88 p.s.i. of unregulated air at the nozzle.   THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT - BAKERSFIELD FIELD OFFICE WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1051273, CITATION 01, ITEM NUMBER 003 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON MAY 1, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT MIDWAY FIRE STATION, 801 CENTER STREET, TAFT, CALIFORNIA 93268.

DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT WAS PREVIOSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALANT STANDARD 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6) WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1086137, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 AND AS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON NOVEMBER 16, 2015, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT, KINGMAN FIELD OFFICE, KINGMAN, ARIZONA 86401.
