29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not using electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed: Employees working in the Mixer 7 Drive Room where there were potential electrical hazards were not using electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. The Arc Flash label on the Motor Control Center cabinet, along with the Arc Flash Study performed November 10, 2014, indicated an incident energy of 45 calories per centimeter squared. Employees routinely performed electrical work in this area without electrical protective equipment rated at a minimum of 40 calories per centimeter squared.
