29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Employees performing roofing work on a roof six feet or more above the ground are not protected from fall hazards by a fall protection system. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on August 8, 2016, when employees were tearing off roofing materials and installing shingles on the 7:12 pitch roof of a two-story residence at 11315 Landing Estates Drive, Jacksonville, Florida 32257 without the use of complete fall protection systems and were exposed to fall hazards of 9-foot 11-inch and 14-foot. Great White Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a willful violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 997948, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on April 14, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 228 Melissa Ray Drive, Jacksonville, FL.
