29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. On 8/30/2016, employees from Lancaster Roofing, Inc. were installing shingles on a roof of a residence located at 2163 Roselake Circle, Cottleville, MO. They were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems. The owner and seven employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection, exposing them to a fall to the ground below.
