OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to being struck by sharp particles: On or about September 19, 2016 throughout the facility the employer had installed PVC piping to transport compressed air to different locations. The employees using the compressed air were exposed to a struck by hazard from flying shards of PVC during an explosion.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms shall be kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition. On or about September 19, 2016 in the store room at 120 Mac Arthur Rd., Marble Hill Georgia: Throughout the facility, to include but not limited to the storage area and spraying area, heavy dust from sanding, grinding, and cutting on fiberglass/resin mixtures, and sawdust from woodworking accumulated on elevated vertical and horizontal flat surfaces exposing employees to an explosion and fire hazard.
