OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to being struck by sharp particles:  On or about September 19, 2016 throughout the facility the employer had installed PVC piping to transport compressed air to different locations.  The employees using the compressed air were exposed to a struck by hazard from flying shards of PVC during an explosion.

29 CFR 1910.22(a)(1): All places of employment, passageways, storerooms, and service rooms shall be kept clean and orderly and in a sanitary condition.  On or about September 19, 2016 in the store room at 120 Mac Arthur Rd., Marble Hill Georgia: Throughout the facility, to include but not limited to the storage area and spraying area, heavy dust from sanding, grinding, and cutting on fiberglass/resin mixtures, and sawdust from woodworking accumulated on elevated vertical and horizontal flat surfaces exposing employees to an explosion and fire hazard.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks.   On or about September 16, 2016, employees were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards where the employer did not provide and ensure the use of machine guarding for the circular cutting blade on the "Jet" table saw located in the upper production area used to cut fiberglass components..

29 CFR 1910.303(b)(1): Electrical equipment was not free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that the employer did not ensure the safety of the equipment pursuant to the considerations in sections (i) through (viii) of 29 CR 1910.303(b)(1):    On or about September 19, 2016 in the passageway between the two shops, employees were exposed to an electrical hazard when the metal conduit containing a two wire system had come apart, exposing the wiring to abrasion, cutting hazards from the sharp edges.

29 CFR 1910.23(d)(1)(iii): Every flight of stairs having four or more risers, less than 44 inches wide having both sides open, was not equipped with one standard stair railing on each side.          On or about September 19, 2016 employees were exposed to fall hazards where the exterior stairs on the northeast side of the facility adjacent to the shipping and receiving doors were not equipped with stair rails.
