29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment were not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury from physical, chemical, or radiation agents. a) 11 Pondview Court, Evesham, NJ: On or about 10/05/2016 two Station Builders Inc. employees were conducting roof sheathing activities on a two story new construction residential structure. The employees were using a circular saw to cut the sheathing and pneumatic nail guns to secure it. The employees were not using any form of eye protection and were thus exposed to struck by injuries to the eyes.

The employees used a Pettibone T8044 Rough Terrain Fork Lift used to elevate the stack of roof sheathing without being properly trained and certified. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
