Elyria Foundry Company LLC located in Elyria, Ohio: On or about December 2, 2016, the employer did not ensure employees lifting 900 pound castings with the west gantry crane, located on the paint line, securely attached the alloy steel chain sling to the casting. Abatement Note: One feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard includes but is not limited to ensuring the alloy steel chain slings are hitched in a manner to provide control of the load according to ASME B30.9-2014 Slings, Chapter 9-1.10.4.
