29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: a) At the Metter-based production facility: On February 7, 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to hazards not limited to amputation, in that the employer failed to ensure that an authorized employee received the appropriate training and knowledge in the application of energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control regarding the Winder #1 machine. Linzer Products Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.147(d)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1159533, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 24, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Wallace Street, Metter, GA 30439.

29 CFR 1910.147(d)(1): The authorized employee did not have knowledge of the type and magnitude of the energy, the hazards of the energy to be controlled, and the method or means to control the energy before the authorized or affected employee turned off the equipment: a) At the Metter-based production facility: On February 7, 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to hazards not limited to amputation, in that the employer failed to ensure that an authorized employee possessed the knowledge of the type and magnitude of the energy, the hazards of the energy to be controlled, and the method or means to control the energy in preparation for the Winder #1 machine unscheduled maintenance.
