29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.   On or about at 3/15/17 located at 680 Colfax Ave, Cumming, GA:  Employees were observed framing the roof and installing the roof truss system on a house that was under construction while using a pneumatic nail gun without safety glasses.

29 CFR 1926.502(e)(2): Positioning devices were not secured to an anchorage capable of supporting at least twice the potential impact load of an employee's fall or 3,000 pounds (13.3 kN), whichever was greater:  On or about at 3/15/17 located at 680 Colfax Ave, Cumming, GA., Employees were observed framing the roof and installing the roof truss system on a house that was under construction while working at the edge, the employer did not ensure that the fall protection anchorage was capable of supporting at least twice the potential impact load of an employee's fall or 3,000 pounds and exposed to fall hazards of approximately up to 25- feet.

Sunset Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926. 501 (b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 716898, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 2/12/2013, with respect to a workplace located at 7006 Colfax Rd., Cumming, GA.
