29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): "Steep roofs." Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On 3/24/2017, employees from Crossroads Roofing LLC were removing and replacing shingles on a roof of a commercial building located at 372 Shadow Pines Drive in Wentzville, MO. Two foreman and two employees were working on the roof of the building, which was approximately twelve feet above the ground, without the use of guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Crossroads Roofing LLC was previously cited for a violation of the same or substantially similar condition of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926. 501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number 983163, Citation 1, Item 1a, issued on 8/07/2014, and became Final Order on 9/02/2014 with respect to a workplace located at 1400 S. Main St., Sikeston, MO.
