OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a). Worksite located at 8116 Wilson Road, Kansas City, Missouri- On or about May 30,2017, an employee was seriously injured when "broom" attached to the grappler of a Terex Fuchs mobile hydraulic loading machine struck an employee working beneath the elevated load was being removed from the grappler. AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS: 1) Ensure no employees are located near the suspended load from material handling devices before operation commences. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ITEM.
