Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. On 7/24/2017, employees from D-7 Construction LLC were working on the roof of a residential building located at 805 Topsfield Drive, Lake Saint Louis, MO. Employees were engaged in roofing work approximately 10 feet above a lower level. Employees were not utilizing guardrail systems, a safety net system, or a personal fall arrest system. The employees were observed on the roof of the building without fall protection, exposing themselves to a fall to the ground below.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program did not enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and did not train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On 7/24/2017, employees from D-7 Construction LLC were working at 805 Topsfield Drive, Lake Saint Louis, MO. Employees were not utilizing fall protection while working near the unprotected edge of the roof, which was approximately ten feet above the ground surface. The employees were not wearing fall protection correctly or unable to recognize fall hazards and the procedures necessary to reduce or eliminate hazards.
