29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): "Unprotected sides and edges." Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 10/032017 at the One Buckland Center Construction Project, employees were working from a roof deck with no fall protection system in use. GDS Contracting Corp. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1138139, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/15/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 582 Norwich Road in Plainfield, CT.
