Employees engaged in roofing activities, using a pneumatic nail gun, were exposed to struck-by hazards in that eye protection was not provided.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At the residential construction site located at 116 SE Riley (Lot 9) Blue Springs, MO 64064: Employees were exposed to fall hazards while putting decking and framing the second story of the residential home without the use of any means of fall protection. Employees were going to the edge of the structure to pick up building materials; approximately 11 foot fall.
