29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(5): The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged, or marked with the identity and appropriate hazard warnings regarding the chemicals contained therein: (a) On or about January 5, 2018, and at times prior, employees were exposed to hazards associated with chemical exposure the employer did not ensure that a gallon jug of Peak Windshield Washer Fluid, which contains methanol, a CNS depressant, was labeled for identification. (b) On or about January 5, 2018, and at times prior, employees were exposed to hazards associated with chemical exposure where the employer did not ensure that a spray bottle of Brody Dynamite Degreaser, which contains the corrosive organic acid Norfox PE-600, was labeled for identification. Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (See Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet). The employer, Oilex Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1244375, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on August 21, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at3795 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO. The employer, Oilex, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1235107, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on July 19, 2017 with respect to a workplace located at 9902 W Belleview Ave, Littleton, CO. The employer, Oilex, Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1220895, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on June 9, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 18401 E Hampden Ave., Aurora, CO.
