29 CFR 1926.405(g)(2)(iii): The repair splice in a hard service flexible cord No. 12 or larger did not retain the insulation, outer sheath properties, and usage characteristics of the cord which was being used: Temporary power location: A spliced No. 12 extension cord wrapped in green tape did not retain it's insulation, outer sheath properties. The cord was used to supply power to a 120 VAC Black and Decker electric drill.
