29 CFR 1926.960(c)(1)(iii): The employer shall ensure that no employee approaches or takes any conductive object closer to exposed energized parts than the employer''s established minimum approach distance, unless: On or about July 5, 2018, during the removal of an electrical power transmission line for the construction of a new transmission line project the employer failed to ensure that employees did not take a conductive object (de-energized transmission line conductor) closer than their established minimum approach distance of 2'2" (phase to ground) 2'3" (phase to phase) to an energized 12kv distribution line.
