29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. a) Vaughn Industries, Inc. on or about July 24, 2024, at the location of 1201 East Findlay Street Carey, Ohio 43316: The employer did not ensure the Coil Line located in the Fabrication Shop was adequately guarded to protect operators from caught in/laceration hazards. Employees tasked with manually applying product labels while equipment was in operation, were exposed to caught in/laceration hazard created between the indexing of the sheetmetal and Insulmatic glue applicator.
