29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).    On 10/17/2018, at the Plant 4 facility, employees were assigned tasks of welding galvanized steel without being provided adequate respiratory protection. The employees welding the galvanized steel had not been included in the company's respiratory protection program.

On 10/17/18, at the Duluth job site, the employer did not designate pedestrian walkways in areas where employees were exposed to powered industrial truck traffic.

On 10/17/2018, at the Plant 4 facility of Elite Storage Solutions, LLC, the employer did not ensure machine guarding covered the chuck on the Century Drill Press used at the facility.        Elite Storage Solutions, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1021840, citation number 1, item number 10 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/16/2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1533 South Broad St., Monroe, Georgia.
