29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(iii): The employer did not identify and evaluate the respiratory hazard(s) in the workplace; including a reasonable estimate of employee exposures to respiratory hazards and identification of the contaminant's chemical state and physical form. a) Thermal Fisher Scientific on or about November 29, 2018, did not evaluate the respiratory hazards in the workplace for employees working with amphetamines in a thermal degradation chamber. Employees extracting samples from the chamber were exposed to amphetamine, a powerful stimulator of the central nervous system which in high doses can cause, but not limited to, high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, and blurred vision.
